More than a roof at The House of Lords in the UK
Rev Lord Roberts of Llandudo hosted a presentation of the work of Barka UK, a charity which has reconnected thousands of homeless East European migrants to their families or to support centres in Eastern Europe, in the House of Lords on 2nd December. On the 16th of July representatives of Barka UK met with Ms Shizuka Hariu, director of Shizuka Hariu & Shin Hagiwara Architecture Scenography. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of The Netherlands paid a state visit to Poland 24-25 June. Representative of Barka- Magdalena Chwarścianek ( Barka NL) was invited by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands in Poland to attend the official receptions and concerts accompanying the visit. BNP Paribas Wealth Management Special Prize for Tomasz and Barbara Sadowski
Tomasz and Barbara Sadowscy, the founders of Barka Foundation for Mutual Help in Poland, were awarded the 7th BNP PARIBAS WEALTH MANAGEMENT PRIZE FOR INDIVIDUAL PHILANTHROPY HONOURS. ‘The Jury’s Special Prize was awarded for their social integration work and promotion of Barka social franchise model in Poland and abroad.
